Our Company: History
TerraSphere was established in 2003 to develop a highly efficient, environmentally superior, urban-based produce growth system. Between 2003 and 2007 the Founders invested $3M to build a pilot facility in Vancouver, Canada and spent the next several years perfecting the system design and conducting research and growth trials to prove the fundamentals of the business model.
TerraSphere has since signed several license agreements, and in 2010 was acquired by Converted Organics Inc. (www.convertedorganics.com), a clean technology company with three businesses at the intersection of agriculture, water and waste. Today, TerraSphere operates out of its research and manufacturing facility in Surrey, B.C., and its corporate office in Boston, Massachusetts.
